About Us......

We are three sisters working to get into or stay in shape! Ara is the oldest (26) and is trying to lose weight and get in shape before having children with her husband. Carlyn is the middle child (23) her desire is to get in shape and have the endurance to keep up with the youth she works with. Emmalee is the youngest (17) and is already an athlete. But now her sport and time is high school is almost over and she wants to stay in shape!

Our blog is a way for us to encourage each other and help each other reach our goals. Please feel free to follow along! You can follow each sister or just the one you find interesting or have things in common with!

Ara's days to post are Monday and Thursday.
Carlyn's days are Tuesday and Friday.
Emm's days are Wednesday and Saturday.

p.s. We would also like to say that this is to help encourage us to keep up the good work and help us stay on track BUT we know we could not even do this by ourselves or as 3 sister's with out God by our side pushing us along!

OH my lovely sisters!!!
I know we have been texting alot about working out and stuff so it kinda counts but we have not been loyal to this... Yes i believe we have been really busy! ;)
So i have been swimming alot and i think that is alot better then running for me right now. my knees have been killing me. and it is sad i was walking in SAM's today and it just gave out on me and if mom was not there i would have ate it in sam's lol. (OH and carlyn every time im in sam's i think of us shopping for Ara's wedding!!! LOVE that Memories!!! need to do it again though!!! :))))

I have to say i have to learn how to be happy with my body. Im not doing the 6 hours of working out a day for 6 days week and cutting weight all the time so i need to be happy with just being a normal size EXTRA TALL girl and be happy that i work out and have great sisters to encourage me! ;)

I got a new bathing suit and i think it is soooo cute so i have a motivation to look good in it lol. ;)

Sorry for the Dry Spell...

So maybe I can break the cycle of us not writing on here - all of our faults for not motivating each other!! 


Well, maybe I can break this bad cycle of ours!  :)

So Emm's graduation is coming up!!!  ITS ABOUT TIME!!  :)
Anyway, I was thinking to myself, I am going to make a short term goal - I had a number in my mind and I am a lot closer (less than 5 pounds) to that number than I expected, so that's exciting!  So what am I going to do to reach this goal?!

1) I am counting calories - which is no fun to do
2) I am working out 6 nights/days a week...resting on Wednesday most likely because of Youth, but might have a chance to go!
3) Not eating any FAST FOOD!  It can be so easy - but so bad at the same time!  So I went shopping last night and got some fruits and other yummy stuff! 

So I guess I will let you know how it goes!

Oh - also while I was shopping, I found some Popsicles that are 50 calories for the pair!  Sometimes I just need something sweet and this will be A LOT better than pulling out ice cream or some other AMAZINGLY GOOD, BUT BAD frozen treat.

time is short!

Well it seems like time flies by between post!

I have been doing good. Prom is this weekend and i have been trying to eat good but the left over bday treats are so hard to resist... so i cut alot of them in 1/2 lol.
My coach has been running us to death so i have had sore legs the past couple of days!!! But im so excited to stay in shape! i love working out! i hope to find a good fitness club at college!
I have been having more problems with my knee but not to much to complain about!

OH and the bday weekend was the BEST EVER!!! i will never forget how important my family is to me and how they make me feel so welcome and loved! i need a weekend like that and it was the best!!!
I LOVE YOU SISTERS!!! i would not be the person i am today with out yall!!! ;)

Back On Track!!

So my goal this week is to get back on track!  I know that I keep saying this, but that is my goal!  

I need to get back into the gym regularly and eating better!  

Its kinda weird but I can feel the lack of working out in my knees!  They were doing so much better, but I got out of working out regularly and there is some pain back in my left knee.  I know that I use it as an excuse, but I should use it as motivation, especially since they were doing better!  WOW - that was repetitive - sorry!

So that's my goal - you know where I'm at - pray for me to get back on track!!

oops - almost missed two blog days in a row!!!

Yep - sorry my ladies :) This will be short and sweet...... here's an update on those goals I set for myself. I have only really exercised in the form of cleaning and put things in the attic (which believe me got my heart rate up!!) BUT I did go and get my safety equipment I need for roller skating. So my new goal for next monday is to write that I got back out there and skated like crazy!!! I'll let you know how it goes!! By the way.... Emmers is almost 18!!!!! whhooooohoooo!!

Eating Better - CONSTANT STRUGGLE!! Grrr...

Everyone has those foods that make you go YUMMMM!!!  I have decided that one of my biggest YUMMMM foods is CHEESE ITS!!!  YUMMM!!!  See it just happens naturally! And there have been Cheese its at work to eat - so of course - my stomach (more like my taste buds) want to eat them!!!  And DID :(  My Bad!! 

I found an article recently that I am now going to ENFORCE as much as possible!  Here is the info table...
Below are the "stages of hunger."  When you feel like eating something - you need to decide which stage you are at (1-10) before eating something

1) Famished or Starving
2) Very Hungry
3) Hungry
4) A Little Bit Hungry
5) Satisfied
6) Fully Satisfied
7) More than Satisfied
8) Very Full
9) Uncomfortable
10) Stuffed

If it is a 1. 2 or 3 - you should eat something
If it is a 4 - drink a glass of water, chew a piece of sugar free gum, or do something to get your mind off food
If it is a 5 - you should try no to eat, especially if trying to lose weight!
if it is a 6 - 10 - eating at this point only is sabotaging your efforts

Ouch for me that last one hurt - sometimes that feeling of being full is SO NICE, but I don't NEED that feeling and honestly feel better when I am SATISFIED instead of stuffed

So are personal goal this week, is to use this scale to help me gage when I NEED to eat, compared to when I WANT to eat (and to help keep me away from the food that makes me go YUMMMM!)

This is for May 1st!!! ;)

So i would have posted yesterday BUT i was sorta busy and you will see y....

So i had a wonderful friday were i spent most the day with Tyler and her sister Barbie! We watched 3 scary movies and made a rock awesome dinner!!! ;) We also had a suprize were the abliance showed up next door so we stood in there grage and watched the whole thing... also one of Ben and Phil's Cope friends showed up and i tired to say hi but he was to busy with the whole situation so i just told Ben to tell him i said hi! lol....

Then Sat morning We woke up and had a great breakfast at Dinnies.... i know not the best but it was good. THEN we rested for an 2 hours and Me and Tyler went to her gym.... OMG!!! it is like Haven for working out! they have EVERYTHING!!! i could spend a whole day there! We spend 3 hours there... I ran 2 miles then lifted weights and then rock climbed next we went swimming and went down some water slides and then went to a steam room.

Then i was a girl and got a facial! WHoop WHoop!!!

It felt so awesome to do all that stuff!

Also i have started to drink like a bunch of water all the time and it has been filling me up! So im proud to say im sorta eating better BUT still working on it!

Today was good. Went to church. had a heart to heart with UB and then chilled with tyler....
