About Us......

We are three sisters working to get into or stay in shape! Ara is the oldest (26) and is trying to lose weight and get in shape before having children with her husband. Carlyn is the middle child (23) her desire is to get in shape and have the endurance to keep up with the youth she works with. Emmalee is the youngest (17) and is already an athlete. But now her sport and time is high school is almost over and she wants to stay in shape!

Our blog is a way for us to encourage each other and help each other reach our goals. Please feel free to follow along! You can follow each sister or just the one you find interesting or have things in common with!

Ara's days to post are Monday and Thursday.
Carlyn's days are Tuesday and Friday.
Emm's days are Wednesday and Saturday.

And we'll throw in tips and fun stories as we go along! Welcome to our blog!! -The 3 Sisters

p.s. We would also like to say that this is to help encourage us to keep up the good work and help us stay on track BUT we know we could not even do this by ourselves or as 3 sister's with out God by our side pushing us along!

An Intro From Carlyn

Hello Everyone,
It is early in the morning of my day to post -
Here's a little more info about me and my goals!

Currently I work over night, so on my nights off, my posts will probably be at interesting times.
While you are sleeping, I am working and visa versa...but it works for me right now.
I will be looking for a teaching job for the fall, but right now I really enjoy what I am doing.
Along with my paying job, I also work with the youth at my church and am a Special Olympics Coach.
These kids keep me busy and are one of my big reasons for wanting to get into shape!
I also love to travel and go on mission trips - I am hoping and praying that God will grant me a long term mission trip in the near future - but I am waiting on His timing!

My long and short term goals include:
Loosing 70 lbs (which I will keep track on here)
Eating healthier (which is a constant struggle for me)
To have more energy and endurance
(which happens even with a little time in the gym)
More strength in my Knee
(I had a run in with a 2x4 when I was younger)
To run a Marathon
(This is a LONG term goal, I have a lot to do before this!)

Some Excuses I use to keep my self from being more active:
My KNEE - but as long as I ice it, it does better
My TIME - I seem to waste it a lot...I'm working on this!

What I am already doing to encourage my fitness goals:
I have joined a Gym - Anytime Fitness - which works great for my schedule!
I have stopped drinking carbonated drinks - which is hard (I'd love a DDP)
I am keeping a journal of my workouts and weight loss.
I reward myself with a Subway Sandwich if I work out at least 5 days in one week.
I am wanting to add swimming in the river (see pic above) to my workout, but I am waiting for it to get a little warmer, so that I can go in the mornings and right now it is too cold!

I am excited about this adventure and I know that with God's help and my sister's encouragement, that I will be able to reach my goals!

Thanks for Joining My Journey,
Carlyn
